Reality

America was founded on the principal of equality and justice for all, and Civil Rights are a fundamental part of our constitution that promotes and protects this privilege to live freely, democratically, and without discrimination. In recent years, the Bush Administration has been amending and limiting protection of these rights. From a "faith based" initiative that makes discrimination on the basis of religion constitutional, to media censorship that limits our access to information and to acts that give law enforcement the power to completely waive our individual rights, our Civil Rights are being compromised and are clearly under threat. Civil liberties have come a long way, and the reality of it today is that the Bush Administration is reversing progress by introducing blatantly discriminating legislation, censoring information and limiting the rights of individuals.
